The first day of school!
On the way home from a coffee date with my bestie, I stopped and bought the boys each a doughnut for breakfast today.
After breakfast we went for a walk to get a little energy out before school.
I let the boys pick out their clothes for the day.
Their choices totally reflect who they are.
Even how they learn.
The school day went much longer than I had expected,
But I think that will change as we get into our groove.
It is a challenge to teach Pre-K and K at the same time.
It is hard for Noah to pay attention to his own work when he feels compelled to micromanage Collin.
Overall, today was great.
My thoughts are already on tomorrows lesson plan and what I will do to tweak what we did today to make it work.
Collin is already showing A TON of growth from where he was last spring when we ended the school year.
Noah as well has greatly progressed.
While we discussed everything from racing to Cinderella to the 5 senses it was intense, but peaceful.
Collin discovered he has better pen control than he thought.
He was writing A’s and number 1.
He was identifying other letters and numbers, colors and shapes too.
Noah was king of worksheet town today.
They were both very cooperative and obedient.
I hope this is a sign of things to come!
